Ol' Freighthouse Square. Situated just between the Link and the Sounder station, it's a decent place to sit and have a bite while waiting for the next train to come by. There are two parts to the square, a food court with an incredibly varied selection of foods, from curry to burgers to pho and more. The other (much larger) side hosts several dozen artisan shops, a lot of jewelry shops, handicraft vendors, stuff like that. There's also a store downstairs that sells cards, action figures and other nerdy stuff. It might look a little dilapidated on the outside (and maybe a little on the inside too) but it only serves to contribute to its incredibly rustic atmosphere.

A lot of empty store fronts. That being said, it's quirky and unique with a great touch of history. I still have hope that this place can still thrive. We went for the Tacoma artists holiday night market. It was wonderful to see the place full of life. We get take-out from the Indian restaurant regularly. The fish and chips restaurant is also good, can recommend both. The Mexican restaurant food was NOT good, cannot recommend.

Every vendor we encountered was so kind! I remarked to several that the hospitality was something that I have not seen in a long time. Lots of homemade items!

Food court looks as good as it's ever been. The exterior and the entrances could use an update to accommodate disabled people, and to just look like the place is actually open, but other than that it is exactly what I remember from the last time I was in there nearly 5 years ago

This place is a bit weird, eclectic, and totally unexpected. The food court has little hole in the wall type places that actually make good food. There are some trippy gift shops. A seasonal haunt attraction. An escape room experience... and more but that is the extent of my exploration so far and I am sure there is a lot more. It is one of those kind of places.

its really cool place to go, besides it is accessible from Tacoma station, too. if u gotta kill the time, it would entertain u enough. imagine that there is a large rectangle building along the Tacoma Station. there is food court n shops, public restrooms, coffee shop, Olive branch cafe n tea room(yes, afternoon tea tower style), art gallery n , oh heading to the edge of building(down hill side), there r 2 horror attractions, frighthouse station haunted attractions n escape room challenge. Tacoma city did great job on sidewalk n station. clean, pedistrians n stroller friendly. Parking: some structured for specific shops, street parking or huge structured free parking building.

I wouldn't be surprised if many people don't know the place exists. Park across the street in the transit garage & take a short walk. Inside are several fast food vendors, offering Thai, Indian, Mexican, Fish & chips, etc. I've been twice, trying 2 different vendors. Both were good with sizeable dishes - more than I could eat for lunch. Not the best you've had, but nice for a change.

This place is moldy af, I can smell the dampness walking into the building and up the stairs from the entrance across from the parking garage. Is anyone ever going to replace any of the bathroom fixtures?? Every event I work here has major bathroom issues: out of order, broken fixtures, out of dispensables, etc. Only giving this place a second star because it has massive potential due to its layout and location. If only the owners/management would restore and maintain the building instead of letting it rot in the rain.
